Overview
With its main campus at Rockhampton in Queensland, CQU hosts students from over 100 countries around the globe. Founded in 1967, CQU has become Queensland’s largest provider of education to overseas students and the second-largest in Australia.

Location
The main campus is located at Rockhampton in Queensland, with other locations at Mackay, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. There are other regional campuses dotted along the coastal region within range of Brisbane, though these are largely attended by domestic students. Each location has unique natural and social environments providing the context for living and studying at CQU.
Campuses
Rockhampton is the main campus, situated on bushland in this beautiful regional centre. Facilities include student accommodation, high tech teaching and learning spaces, bookshop, shopping, eating and banking outlets, wireless internet network, and swimming and sporting facilities.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and this purpose-built campus is close to the city’s Gardens, State Library and Performing Arts centre. On-campus facilities include wireless internet, high-tech teaching and learning facilities and library, lounge, café and bookshop[. The city is a stone’s throw away.
Gold Coast is located at the ocean shore about an hour north of Brisbane by road, offering a year-round outdoor lifestyle. Facilities at this campus include the University’s English Language Centre, wireless internet state of the art teaching and learning facilities and library, bookshop, lounge and outdoor recreational spaces, all with Gold Coast City close at hand.
Melbourne campus is located in the city’s CBD. Melbourne is the multicultural cosmopolitan capital of Victoria and the campus has access to all of the city’s fascinating and diverse social and cultural resources. Campus facilities include state of the art teaching and learning facilities, including library, wireless internet, lounge, café and large indoor recreational space.
Sydney campus is in the heart of this city which is the capital of New South Wales and home of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. On-campus facilities include high tech teaching and learning facilities and library, wireless internet network, lounge, café and large indoor recreational space. The city’s social and recreational attractions are just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Courses
Central Queensland University offers students courses in Business, Creative and Performing Arts, Education. Engineering and Technology, Health and Recreation, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Technology, Primary Industries, Environment and Sciences, Research and Higher Degrees. English Courses
Rockhampton campus houses the University’s English Language Centre where international students can to develop their English language skills to the required level. Gold Coast campus also offers English language preparation.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduate admission generally require the successful completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 12 High School studies and an IELTS of 6.0 overall with no band les than 5.0. Postgraduate admission generally requires the successful completion of the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor’s degree and an IELTS of 6.5 pverall with no band less than 6.0.

Enrolment dates

CQU organises various social and cultural activities for students and students have access to the recreational and sporting facilities on campus. Students also organise more informal and spontaneous social and recreational activities among themselves.
